Linda Schroeder divides her time between the bright sun of California and the high mountains of Colorado. She has a Master’s degree in English and one in Communicative Disorders/Audiology. In addition to her novel, Artists & Thieves, she has published a college text. Her early interest in English expanded to include language disorders and she began a second career as an audiologist and aural rehabilitation therapist working with deaf and hard-of-hearing children and adults. I read five to eight books a week and it would be so much easier to not have all those books in my apartment but on a Kindle for storage. I love reading the electronic medium.
I’m finding it harder to read a lot of book because the print is so small and the lines so close together – I’m sure this is an old-age thing! – and a Kindle would allow me to make the print larger. Oh, wonders of all wonders – that would be amazing!!

I want a Kindle Fire because it can do so many different things.
I love to read and now I’m starting to get a little older some of these big thick books are hard to hold. It’d be so much easier with a kindle. Plus I wouldn’t have so many books around the house. They’d be neatly on my kindle fire.
We travel frequently and I usually have a crate of books in the back seat of the car. It would be nice to be able to just have an e-reader. With retirement ahead and hopefully more extensive travel, I can’t bring all those books on a plane, at least not if I want to bring clothes. In addition, my netbook just died so I need something for internet access. The Kindle Fire is the perfect combination of both an e-reader and a way to check my email and my favorite blogs.

I’ve wanted an ereader and don’t yet have one!
I want a kindle reader so badly I dream about it at night. I could never afford to buy one for myself, since I live on social security disability which barely gets me by. I am confined to home and reading has been and always will be my guilty pleasure.
