Guest Post with Giveaway ~ Cozy Holiday Escapes: Warm Seasonal Short Stories by Bestselling Mystery Authors for Cold Winter Nights

guest-post

A writer tends to work in a more solitary environment than people in other fields. But most of us are a talkative bunch, and we love mixing and matching information with others, so we can often be found on social media sites. We also love working with other authors that we read, and last summer a bunch of us got together to start an anthology of short stories tied to a Christmas theme. This gave us an opportunity to share our work and ideas with each other, and get to know each other better—even if we’ve never met outside of the Internet. And this project has been a blast! We called the anthology Cozy Holiday Escapes and it’s just been released in ebook form at all the online booksellers.

As the temperatures drop and the leaves start changing color each year, reading tastes start to change as well. One of the best things about November and December is the wonderful new books and bundles that come out just during—and themed to—the holiday season. It was great fun to write outside-of-the-box and pen shorter fiction that ties to the characters we write about in our novel length fiction. But the wish for all of these stories was to offer our fans and soon-to-be-new-fans a Christmas gift and “thank you” for reading and supporting all of our mystery series.

We hope everyone enjoys these stories as much as we enjoyed writing them and putting them together with all the others. A wonderful thing about the holidays is we get together with people we may only see once a year. These stories are like that too, as the anthology is only for sale through January, so get a copy before it disappears. We’ve specially priced it at 99 cents for now, so it’s a bargain for our fans and their friends.

Hope your holidays are memorable.

Ritter Ames ~ Ritter is an award-winning author who writes the Body of Art mystery series and the Organized for Mystery series, both published by Gemma Halliday Publishing. She focuses most of her time and writing energies on globe trotting the world via her keyboard to create memorable characters and fascinating fiction novels for readers. She lived in Belgium, France, Germany, in beautiful Orange County, California where she raised her family, and is currently at home in Phoenix, Arizona—but stay tuned for weekly updates of Where in the World is Maria Grazia Swan?  As a young girl, her vivid imagination predestined her to be a writer. She won her first literary award at the age of fourteen while living in Belgium. As a young woman Maria returned to Italy to design for—ooh-la-la—haute couture. Once in the U.S. and after years of concentrating on family, she tackled real estate. These days her time is devoted to her deepest passions: writing and helping people find happiness. Maria loves travel, opera, good books, hiking, and intelligent movies (if she can find one, that is). When asked about her idea of a perfect evening, she favors stimulating conversation, spicy Italian food and perfectly chilled Prosecco—but then, who doesn’t?  Maria has written short stories for anthologies, articles for high profile magazines and numerous blogs tackling love and life. She engaged her editorial and non-fiction skills for Mating Dance Rituals for Singles Who Weren't born yesterday.
