Release Day Celebration

How do I celebrate release day? It all depends. The perfect way would be too hook up with the hot wolf or jaguar and have fancy drinks on a beach, and run during the night in my jaguar coat or wolf coat, depending on which book is out. Oh, yeah, mix it up with a sexy Highland wolf, or any of the above.

In reality, it depends. One year, I was at a writer’s conference and so we were on a ghost tour in New Orleans, ate out at all kinds of fun places, had lots of other fun get togethers, and I gave a couple of workshops. When I returned home, I learned I had made USA Today Bestseller on A SEAL in Wolf’s Clothing. That was a really great reason for celebration. One year, I was supposed to have a Facebook Party, and my roommate for the readers’ convention asked if we were going to have champagne in the room while we partied. Uhm, forgot I was going to be at the convention. Again, we had a blast partying with everyone, seeing the sites in Charlotte, North Carolina, eating out with readers and authors, the best release day kind of celebration.

This year, I’ll be at the Coastal Magic Readers’ Convention just a couple of days after the release in Daytona Beach. I’ll be doing lots of celebrating as I always have fun with readers, and Daytona Beach? Yes! Walks on the beach, seeing St. Augustine and the old fort, visiting with old friends and making new ones, listening to the seagulls and wind and surf. Eating out and drinking out and just plain partying. Now, add the SEAL wolf to the mix, and it would be heaven. I’ve just recently moved, what a nightmare, got sick, and am trying to catch up on deadlines, and have this convention to get prepared for, so I really am not thinking about the release day as much as I am about the convention and getting everything together that I need to take with me and having fun there. But even so, that’s my time to really celebrate.

Sometimes I’m on such a tight deadline for the next book, I really don’t celebrate a new book’s release. Not at the time. It might be weeks later, and then I’m out for dinner and a movie. But the next book has to take priority. Deadlines don’t wait for anyone. Sometimes I celebrate in anticipation of the release because I have more time to do it then. Or like when I finished writing the book and turned it in, now that’s a reason to celebrate.

Well, even beginning a book is a great reason to celebrate. Every day is!

What do you do to celebrate some great achievement?

Love spells danger for an alpha SEAL wolf and the woman who steals his heart in this steamy shifter romance from USA Today bestselling author Terry Spear

His love is dangerous

As a Navy SEAL and police diver, alpha wolf shifter Allan Rappaport knows how to handle tough situations, but the arrival of a human diving partner-especially one as attractive as Debbie Renaud-is a whole new challenge. Getting involved is dangerous, but Debbie's offers are hard to resist. As the heat between them rises and a murder plot thickens, Allan is on the brink of exposing his biggest secret.

But she's diving in headfirst

For Debbie, working with another top-notch diver like Allan is too good to be true, and their mutual attraction is hotter than she could have dreamed. Debbie suspects he's hiding something, though, and she's set on figuring it out-one off-duty rendezvous at a time. But when Debbie gets between a werewolf hunter and his intended victim, suddenly she is plunged straight into the heart of Allan's world-a world she never knew existed.
